ER Specialist (extensive employee relations experience required)
Location: Luton (Hybrid, £40K)
Our client, a global Managed Services and Specialist Staffing provider, is looking for an ER Partner to join their team. The role involves providing customer-focused, responsive HR advice and support to managers, employees, and flexible workers, in line with company policies, internal procedures, and legal requirements.
The Business
- Acts as an ambassador of the Group, aligning with company culture and values.
- Understands the company's brands and offerings.
- Delivers first-class advisory services on employment and employee relations matters.
- Provides positive customer experiences throughout the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Advice and Guidance:
- Advises managers on Employee Relations issues, ensuring compliance with best practices, policies, legislation, and understanding of business needs.
- Manages cases related to disciplinaries, grievances, performance, absence, TUPE, redundancies, and ACAS proceedings.
- Builds effective relationships to promote good employee relations.
- Supports managers with HR queries and ensures policies are up-to-date.
Case Management:
- Handles Employee Relations cases end-to-end, including drafting related documents.
- Supports ACAS early conciliation cases and occupational health referrals.
Technology and HR Systems:
- Maintains accurate HR data and reports.
- Ensures compliance with GDPR and data retention policies.
Relationship Management:
- Develops relationships with managers, HR Business Partners, and colleagues.
Change Management:
- Supports organizational change initiatives and advises managers on employment law and best practices.
Projects:
- Collaborates with the People team on departmental objectives and HR material reviews.
Experience and Skills
- HR advisory background with strong Employee Relations expertise.
- Proven case management skills.
- Solid knowledge of employment law, GDPR, and HR systems.
- Excellent organizational, judgment, and communication skills.
- Experience in fast-paced, professional environments dealing with diverse employee types.
