ER Specialist (extensive employee relations experience required)
Location: Luton
Type: Hybrid, 40K
Our client, a global Managed Services and Specialist Staffing provider, is looking for an ER Partner to join their growing team. The role involves providing customer-focused, responsive, accurate, and pragmatic HR advice and support to managers, employees, and flexible workers in line with company policies, internal procedures, and legal requirements.
The Business
- Acts as an ambassador of the Group, aligning with company culture and values.
- Understands the company brands and offerings.
- Delivers first-class advisory services on employment and employee relations matters.
- Ensures positive customer experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Advice and Guidance:
- Advises managers on Employee Relations matters, ensuring compliance with best practices, policies, and legislation.
- Manages cases related to disciplinaries, grievances, performance, absence, TUPE, redundancy, etc.
- Builds effective relationships to promote good employee relations.
- Provides support and guidance during client calls and HR queries.
- Maintains updated policies and guidelines.
- Liaises with Payroll and HR Admin teams as needed.
Case Management:
- Handles Employee Relations cases end-to-end, ensuring timely responses.
- Drafts and reviews related documentation.
- Manages ACAS early conciliation cases and occupational health referrals.
Technology and HR Systems:
- Ensures accurate data management and reporting.
- Records cases properly and maintains policies on HR systems.
Relationship Management:
- Develops collaborative relationships with managers and HR colleagues.
Change Management:
- Supports organizational change, advising managers on restructuring and employment legislation.
Projects:
- Supports departmental objectives and reviews Employee Relations materials.
Experience and Skills:
- HR advisory background with Employee Relations expertise.
- Proven case management skills.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and GDPR.
- Experience with HR systems and managing complex redundancy/restructure programs.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
