Portfolio Group in Taunton is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to cover a MAT contract of 12 months. This 37-hour-per-week role offers a day rate of £125-£160 with holiday pay and hybrid working. The position focuses on advising on complex ER cases and partnering with managers to resolve them.

You will engage with HR/OD, unions, and stakeholders to provide guidance and ensure best practice across departments in a public sector context.

Formación

• Degree or professional HR qualification, or proven HR experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• CIPD member or graduate status.
• Fluent in English.
• Hybrid working and Taunton location.

Responsabilidades

Portfolio HR & Reward is currently supporting a public sector organisation that is currently looking for a Employee Relations Advisor to cover a MAT contract of 12 months.

The successful candidate will receive a day rate from £125-£160, plus holiday pay. This role is 37 hours per week Monday-Friday.

The Opportunity

Working very closely with the Strategic manager you will play a crucial role in partnering with stakeholders and manager to support the resolution of complex employee relations cases by providing advise on best practice and solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• By working closely with senior and service manager in different environments ranging from private to more informal one to one briefing all the way to formal hearings by providing insightful guidance and recommendations.
• Be the point of contact for managers and employees regarding employee relations matters by providing advise, interpretations, and information.
• Negotiate with Trade Union and Professional body representatives by having regulars check ins.
• Feed information and best practise with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
• Work in partnership with HR and OD across departments to maintain a network of professionals and managers by informing and facilitating project working.
