Job summary

Choice Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic Employability Tutor to join a Stevenage-based educational setting. The role is primarily full-time (37 hours per week), with part-time applications considered for the right candidate.

You will deliver sessions on CV writing, interview techniques, workplace communications, and personal development to help learners gain career readiness and transition into employment or further training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience delivering employability training, vocational education, or career guidance within a school, FE college, training provider, or adult learning environment.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills with a patient, approachable manner.
• Availability to start immediately on a full-time or flexible part-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging employability and vocational skills sessions tailored to diverse learner groups.
• Teach practical career skills including CV writing, job searching, interview preparation, and professional workplace behaviours.
• Set clear learning goals, track individual student progress, and provide constructive, supportive feedback.
• Help learners identify career pathways, build self-confidence, and develop action plans for their futures.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, retention, and achievement in line with quality standards.
