Job summary

Uxbridge College is seeking an Employability Co-ordinator to develop industry placements for learners across Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges, working with employers and curriculum teams.

You will source suitable placements, monitor learners’ progress, evaluate outcomes and deliver sessions to prepare students for placement. You will travel to networking events and may travel overseas; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in meeting or exceeding targets.
• Experience of working with young people.
• Ability to source and manage industry placements.
• Excellent administrative, coordination and IT skills.

Salary: £34,878 to £40,194per annum including London Weighting

Employability is an exciting and dynamic area of HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges). In this varied role, you will develop industry placements for learners, working with employers, our external partners and curriculum teams. Your role will involve sourcing suitable placements, monitoring learners’ progress and evaluating outcomes. You will also deliver sessions to prepare students for placement.

You will be motivated and enthusiastic with experience of meeting or exceeding targets, with the ability to engage and build effective relationships with employers. You will have experience of working with young people and will have the ability to prepare and deliver effective workplace preparation sessions to students. You will also need to have excellent administrative, co-ordination and communication skills together with strong IT skills.

This post will be based primarily at Harrow College, and you will be willing and able to travel to our other College campuses, off-site and overseas when required for networking events, industry conferences and job fairs.
