Job summary

Uppingham Community College is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support students in the Enhanced Resource Provision (ERP). The role involves working with pupils with SEND under the supervision of teaching staff, ensuring a safe learning environment and contributing to personalised support plans.

The ERP assists students with EHCP-indicated needs within a mainstream setting; the post requires commitment to development and collaborative teamwork within our school community.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
• Level 2 qualifications in maths/numeracy and English/literacy or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, delivery and evaluation of whole class activities.
• Work under teacher supervision to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities for small groups or individuals.
• Help maintain a safe and secure learning environment in line with lesson plans.
• Promote development of pupils’ self-reliance, self-esteem and emotional resilience.
