Job summary

CCP Recruitment is seeking a Collections Consultant for a growing UK personal lending business in Milton Keynes. The role focuses on contacting customers with overdue repayments by phone and email, building rapport and agreeing realistic payment plans.

You will undergo a structured 6-8 week training programme, and after probation there is hybrid working: four days in the office and one day at home. This position offers a salary of £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous collections experience is essential.
• Experience within consumer finance, personal lending or similar environment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers regarding outstanding personal loan repayments.
• Build rapport and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Discuss customers' financial circumstances and identify appropriate repayment solutions.
• Negotiate realistic and sustainable payment arrangements.
• Handle challenging and potentially emotional conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Work towards collections targets while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and agreed arrangements.
