Emotional Support worker - Swindon

Academics are working with a wonderful specialist school that support young people aged 11-16 with complex mental health needs. They are looking for a patient and empathetic emotional support worker to join their exceptional team ASAP on a full-time basis. The school are passionate about nurturing their students and preparing them to be independent and confident adults after education. As an emotional support worker, you would work closely with teachers, students, and other educational professionals to create a nurturing and safe learning environment.

Key information for an Emotional Support Worker:

* Location: Swindon

* Pay: £85-100 per day depending on experience

* Hours: Full-time (08:30-15:00, Term-time only)

* Start date: ASAP

You could be a fantastic Emotional Support Worker if you:

* Have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young children's emotional, personal and educational development

* Achieved a Grade C/Level 4 GCSE in English and Maths

* Are approachable and can remain calm and grounded in stressful situations

* Want to pursue a career in education or mental health support

* Have previous experience working with children

Daily responsibilities of an Emotional Support Worker:

* Helping the students regulate their emotional and build confidence

* Working with teachers to plan and deliver top-quality and engaging lessons

* Deliver specialized interventions in either a one to one or group setting

* Working with students to develop healthy coping strategies and emotional safety

* Acting as part of a wider team to provide a safe environment that students look forward to spending their time in
