Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is helping a well-established manufacturer in Greater Manchester recruit a Service Technician. The role focuses on servicing, repairing, calibrating and testing portable combustion and emission analysers to meet high quality standards.

You will diagnose faults, read engineering drawings, and participate in continuous improvement while working in a hands-on, quality-driven environment. The position offers a permanent, full-time career with an attractive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in service, calibration or electronic testing roles.
• ONC in Electronic Testing or equivalent qualification.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair abilities.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Experience with soldering and mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, calibrate and test analysers to ISO 9001 standards.
• Prepare, configure and programme products before calibration.
• Complete Calibration Test Reports and documentation.
• Diagnose faults and repair non-conforming products.
• Read and interpret circuit diagrams and drawings.
• Engage in mechanical assembly and soldering when required.
• Support continuous improvement to boost quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures.
