Samsung Electronics is seeking a Sustainability & Compliance Placement to support the SEUK Sustainability, Compliance and Health & Safety Managers. You will help deliver innovative programmes to ensure we stay at the forefront of industry best practice.

You will review policies, co-ordinate training, conduct audits, monitor regulations and help develop new ideas to tackle sustainability issues. Hybrid working in Chertsey, with benefits and an opportunity to grow in a global technology leader.

Qualifications

• Environmental/ sustainability background is desirable.
• Creative problem solver with the confidence to build processes to support business needs.
• Comfortable managing their own time and planning tasks accordingly.
• Good communication, networking and influencing skills.
• A self-starter showing strong initiative in tasks.
• Strong MS Office skills including excel.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, administering and improving SEUK’s compliance policies and processes.
• Providing general administrative support, including the co-ordination of compliance training delivery.
• Conducting audits to assess the effectiveness of SEUK’s compliance policies and processes.
• Support the Sustainability Manager in their role for SEUK and Ireland.
• Monitor emerging regulation and keep colleagues informed of regulatory changes that will impact the business.
• Generate and develop new ideas and solutions to tackle sustainability issues.
• Support the compliance team on an ad-hoc basis with any business needs.

Role and Responsibilities

Samsung is directly affected by a wide range of laws and regulations, as well as constantly changing demands from customers and other partners. The Sustainability & Compliance Placement is needed to support the Sustainability, Compliance and Health & Safety Managers, ensuring that compliance requirements are met, support the development/ implementation of policies and strategies to address legal obligations, and work with both external partners and internal teams to support the diverse needs of the business. As a member of the SEUK Legal, Compliance and Sustainability team, you will be helping deliver innovative programmes to ensure SEUK is at the forefront of industry best practice.
