Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic Primary Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work in welcoming and supportive primary schools across North Sheffield from October 2026.

This opportunity covers all primary key stages (EYFS, KS1, KS2) with flexible full-time or part-time placements and competitive daily rates.

Applicants must be an ECT working towards or having QTS, with classroom experience and a commitment to safeguarding children.

Qualifications

• Must be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) working towards or recently awarded QTS.
• Experience gained through teaching placements within primary settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A flexible, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to teaching.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
• Creating positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environments.
• Supporting pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development.
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting positive engagement.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, senior leaders, and wider school staff.
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to assessment where required.
