This role seeks a highly accomplished and results‑driven Emerging Market (EM) Trader to join our dynamic Equities trading desk. You will leverage extensive experience in navigating the complexities of EM equity derivatives, consistently delivering robust P&L, managing significant risk books, and optimizing trading strategies across diverse EM landscapes. This position requires a trader adept at combining deep market insights with sophisticated product knowledge to capitalize on market dislocations and client opportunities, driving growth and expanding client penetration within complex EM segments.

What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:

• Consistently generate strong P&L through strategic trading and monetization of market conditions in EM equity derivatives, expanding client penetration within key institutional segments.
• Develop and execute sophisticated trading strategies across MSCI indices, synthetic baskets, exchange‑traded futures, futures, and swaps, with a focus on optimizing hedging and managing exposure.
• Implement and maintain robust risk management frameworks, ensuring strict adherence to VAR limits, RWA constraints, and firm policies while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Utilize deep understanding of EM market structures, regulatory nuances, and unique challenges to price complex derivatives, including TRFs and custom baskets, leveraging advanced pricing models.
• Capitalize on market dislocations, including managing dividend disparities on ETFs and exploiting arbitrage opportunities between ETFs and futures in EM.
• Drive operational excellence by streamlining trading processes, enhancing controls, and championing automation initiatives to optimize inventory management and cost efficiency.
• Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with internal partners across sales, technology, quants, and product control to drive effective execution, enhance controls, and support innovation.

What we will need from you:

• Extensive experience as an Emerging Market Trader with a proven track record of consistently delivering robust P&L in EM equity derivatives.
• Deep understanding of EM market structures, regulatory nuances, cross‑currency impacts, tax implications, and product specialization.
• Proficiency in pricing complex derivatives using advanced pricing models and hands‑on experience with critical trading platforms and tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic trading, robust risk management, and operational excellence, including process improvements and cost optimization.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with a proven ability to perform resiliently under pressure and exhibit strong commercial acumen.
• Experience in cultivating strong, collaborative relationships with diverse internal partners and actively engaging in cross‑functional initiatives.
