Job summary

SLR Consulting in Bristol is seeking a motivated graduate or junior lighting designer to support our team in delivering compliant, technically robust lighting solutions. You will receive full training in lighting designs, layouts, and calculations using industry software, and assist with reports and drawings across planning and design stages.

Qualifications

Graduate in lighting design, architecture, engineering, environmental design or related field.
Basic understanding of lighting principles and relevant standards (CIBSE/ILP).
Familiarity with CAD and/or lighting software desirable.
Strong attention to detail and good written communication; well organised.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing lighting designs, layouts, and calculations using industry software.
Support production of reports, drawings and technical documentation for planning stages.
Contribute to lighting impact assessments (external obtrusive light, ecology, dark skies).
Coordinate with architects, engineers and planning teams; maintain project records.
