Job summary

Vets Now Blackburn is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Nurse for part-time shifts at our Blackburn clinic, delivering high‑quality nursing care during out-of-hours emergencies. You will support triage, anaesthesia, and post‑operative care alongside our experienced team.

Applicants should be RCVS registered with a minimum six months’ experience; ECC exposure is a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits, a generous CPD package, and a supportive workplace that values work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
