Job summary

SECamb in Banstead is recruiting a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to service and repair a diverse fleet of ambulances and support vehicles. You will diagnose faults, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and prepare vehicles for MOT in a busy NHS workshop.

With manufacturer training across Mercedes, MAN and Fiat, EV systems, and a C1 licence where required, you will join a supportive team committed to keeping frontline services on the road.

Qualifications

• Qualified motor vehicle maintenance technician with recognised apprenticeship or equivalent
• Experience with petrol and diesel vehicles in a workshop environment
• Ability to interpret diagnostic data and carry out repairs to high standards

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse fleet of emergency and support vehicles
• Diagnostics, fault finding and repair using modern diagnostic equipment
• MOT preparation and compliance activities for Class IV and VII vehicles
• Undertake repairs involving electrical systems, hydraulics, heating and air conditioning
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and fleet documentation
• Ensure work complies with health and safety legislation and manufacturer standards
• Support a positive team environment and continuous improvement
