Job summary

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust in Manchester is seeking a Band 5 Vehicle Technician to service, repair and maintain Trust vehicles across petrol, diesel, hybrid and EV fleets in a modern workshop. You will hold an apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent with NVQ/C&G Level 3, a full UK driving licence including C1 entitlement, and MOT Tester Class 4 and 7.

The post includes 37.5 hours per week, with an uplift for rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent with NVQ/C&G Level 3.
• Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement.
• MOT Tester Class 4 and 7 certification.
• Experience with high voltage/hybrid vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain Trust vehicles (Petrol/Diesel/Hybrid/EV).
• Work in a modern workshop with CPD opportunities.
• Contribute to vehicle throughput and reduce workshop delays.
• Support delivery across 1185+ vehicles within NWAS Fleet.
• Operate within Trust policies and safety standards.
