As an Emergency Response Team Officer, you will play a key part in maintaining safety and security across a major client site.
Key responsibilities
- Providing a visible and proactive security presence
- Responding quickly and effectively to fires, first aid incidents, and environmental emergencies
- Maintaining and inspecting emergency equipment to operational standards
- Conducting internal and external patrols, searches, and incident reporting
- Supporting compliance with health, safety, and security policies

Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Valid SIA front line licence (fully funded)
- Ability to pass a medical and fitness test (including suitability for breathing apparatus)
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
- Ability to pass security vetting and random drug/alcohol testing
- Basic/intermediate IT skills
- Remain clean shaven at all times to ensure they can achieve a suitable face seal when using Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Successfully complete and maintain a medical assessment, with particular focus on their suitability to wear and operate Breathing Apparatus
- Pass the required fitness assessment to demonstrate they are capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the role (Chester step test)
- Successfully complete Basic Firefighting Training
- Successfully complete Breathing Apparatus (BA) Training
- Successfully complete the FREC 3 (First Response Emergency Care Level 3) qualification
Desirable
- FREC 3 medical qualification (if already held)
Pay and hours
- Pay Rate: £14.89
- Hours: 12-hour shifts (days/nights/weekends), average 42 hours per week plus overtime opportunities
Training
- First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) - 5 days
- Medical Gases (Oxygen and Entonox) - 2 days (or integrated within FREC 3)
- Basic Fire Training - 2 days
- Breathing Apparatus Training - 5 days
