Mitie is recruiting an Emergency Response Officer for the MINI Plant Oxford. You will be part of a multi-skilled team handling emergency response, fire safety, and environmental incidents in a high-profile manufacturing setting. The role offers training, progression, and a chance to impact people and operations daily.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Valid SIA Front Line Licence (or willingness to obtain – fully funded).
• Ability to pass a medical and fitness assessment (including breathing apparatus).
• Strong communication skills and professional approach.
• Flexible to work days, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to pass security vetting and random drug/alcohol testing.
• Basic to intermediate IT skills.
• Desirable: FREC 3 (First Response Emergency Care) qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-visibility, proactive security presence across the site.
• Respond rapidly and effectively to fire alarms, medical incidents, and environmental emergencies.
• Support and actively contribute to the Emergency Response Team, including training and daily planning.
• Maintain and inspect specialist emergency equipment to operational standards.
• Conduct internal and external patrols, searches, and incident reporting.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security procedures.

  Salary: £34092.24 per annum (based on 4 on 4 off)
  Hours: 12-hour shifts (days, nights & weekends – average 42 hours per week)
