Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner to provide the initial ED triage and assessment at the front door streaming. You will guide patients to Urgent Care, Minors, Paediatrics or Triage and deliver expert nursing care with ENP skills.

The post is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, on a fixed term or secondment basis for 12 months, with potential to develop into an Emergency Nurse Practitioner role.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with ENP qualification and UK registration.
• Experience in Accident & Emergency nursing and ED triage.
• Ability to conduct rapid clinical assessments in a busy ED.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial point of contact for ED patients via streaming/triage.
• Perform initial assessment and route patients to Urgent Care, Minors, Paediatrics or Triage.
• Deliver expert nursing care using ENP skills to treat or initiate treatment.
• Act as a non-medical prescriber when appropriate and support other staff.
