Qualifications

• BTEC Level 3 Diploma or equivalent required for Pharmacy Technicians.
• Accredited accuracy checker status required.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Responsibilities

• Work across emergency medicine clinical areas as part of the clinical pharmacy team.
• Facilitate implementation, monitoring and reporting for pharmacy activities.
• Undertake medication histories and medicines reconciliation, prioritising time critical meds.
• Order non-stock time critical medicines using electronic ordering.
• Carry out accuracy checking of Take Home Prescriptions and critical medicines.
• Assist with discharge medicines service process consent.
• Support audits, fridge monitoring and incident management.
• Coordinate discharge planning with pharmacy and ward staff.
