Job summary

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a consultant who will have a formal job plan agreed with the Clinical Director and consultant colleagues within three months of starting in post. A full-time post is based on 10 Programmed Activities per week, with 7.5 Direct Clinical Care including clinical activity and unpredictable emergency work, and 2.5 SPAs for CPD, audit, teaching and research.

The plan is reviewed annually and will include personal objectives aligned to wider service

Responsibilities

• Formal job plan agreed with Clinical Director and consultant colleagues within 3 months of starting in post.
• Full-time job plan based on 10 PAs per week; 7.5 Direct Clinical Care and 2.5 SPAs (CPD, audit, teaching, research).
• Job plan reviewed annually and linked to wider service improvements and trust priorities.
• If unable to work full-time, modification of job content discussed with Trust in consultation with other consultant colleagues.
