Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is recruiting a Consultant to join our acute medical services. The post involves a formal job plan agreed with clinical leads within three months and delivers a 10 PA weekly allocation covering Direct Clinical Care, AMU/AAU reviews, Short Stay Ward Rounds, Acute Medical Take and SDEC, with SPAs for appraisal and leadership.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
• MRCP or equivalent.
• Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Entry on GMC Specialist Register via CCT or CESR.

Responsibilities

• Agree a 10 PA weekly job plan with Clinical Director.
• Deliver clinical duties across DCC, AMU/AAU, SDEC and ward rounds.
• Lead and contribute to audit, governance and service development.
• Contribute to teaching, research and professional development.
