City St George’s, University of London seeks an outstanding clinician-educator to Lead Core Emergency Medicine within the MBBS programme (maternity cover). The role provides academic oversight of placements across NHS sites, ensuring high-quality and equitable learning aligned with GMC outcomes for graduates.

You will collaborate with MBBS leadership, NHS placement leads and Quality teams to support delivery, digital learning resources, and curriculum alignment across the clinical practice years.

• Strong collaboration with NHS placement providers.
• Proven ability to oversee curriculum alignment and assessment.

Mansioni

• Provide academic oversight of Emergency Medicine placement content on the Virtual Learning Environment.
• Ensure alignment between learning outcomes, assessment, and clinical placement experience.
• Act as a key academic liaison between the University and NHS placement providers.
• Support consistency and equivalence of student experience across all sites.
• Contribute to curriculum development, review, and quality assurance processes.
• Support resolution of placement-related issues and settle concerns where appropriate.
• Engage with assessment processes and contribute to question writing and examining where appropriate.
• Maintain effective communication with academic teams, placement leads, and administrative colleagues.
• Support innovation in digital and blended learning delivery.
