City St George's, University of London is seeking a surgical clinician-educator to provide academic oversight of surgery placements in the F Year MBBS programme, spanning multiple NHS sites. This role ensures consistent, high-quality learning, alignment with GMC Outcomes for Graduates, and an equitable student experience.

You will manage the Canvas placement pages, respond to curriculum development queries, and act as a conduit supporting a cohesive approach to learning, assessment and feedback

Qualifications

• Registered medical practitioner with GMC registration and relevant placement-lead experience.
• Knowledge of surgery and MBBS curriculum.
• Experience in undergraduate teaching in the relevant specialty.
• Willingness to engage with virtual learning environments and partner NHS providers.
• Teamworking, networking, delegation and project-planning skills.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsabilités

• Take academic responsibility for surgery placement pages on Canvas, including annual review and updates.
• Represent the specialty and coordinate curriculum development across learning, assessment and feedback.
• Serve as a point of contact for placement leads at partner providers and support a high-quality learning environment.
• Support MBBS Quality Team with placement concerns and engage with curriculum-management training.
