Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd. is recruiting for a First Call Operative Engineer to join its emergency response team, working with Cadent Gas Network.

You will receive full CODNESP1 training and direct mentoring with Cadent Gas, developing skills in gas escape response and safe reinstatement of the gas supply. The role combines on-site fieldwork with a structured training pathway, including a £2,000 lump sum bonus, full company tools and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience in gas industry with knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and commissioning of pipework.
• Experience with installation, replacement and maintenance of gas meters.
• Understanding of standards, legislation, codes of practice and health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Restore customer gas supply efficiently after gas escapes and pressure issues.
• Handle gas pipework surveys, reruns and re-connections with minimal disruption.
• Maintain calm under pressure and communicate clearly with customers.
• Carry out duties in line with Cadent Gas protocols and safety standards.
