Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead and shape our new Emergency Department pharmacy service. There is scope to develop advanced practice and leadership with emphasis on innovation, supported to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Qualifications

Must hold BSc, BPharm or MPharm in Pharmacy.
Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Post-graduate CPPE pathway in Primary care pharmacy education.
Independent prescribing qualification.
Leadership/management qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

Ensure Emergency Department patients receive critical medicines within required time frames.
Monitor medicines management processes per local/regional/national standards.
Support ED MDT with efficient workflows to maximise skills.
Identify cost-effective medicine initiatives in the Emergency Department.
Support clinical pharmacy service to deliver against KPIs.
