Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced pharmacist to lead and shape the new Emergency Department pharmacy service at King’s Mill Hospital. You will drive advanced practice, leadership and innovation within a collaborative multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal pharmaceutical care for patients.

The role focuses on leading the ED service, developing practice, and delivering against KPIs, with potential to influence local and national standards in pharmaceutical care.

Qualifications

• BSc, BPharm or MPharm and GPhC registration.
• Post-graduate CPPE pathway in clinical pharmacy.
• Independent prescribing.
• Post-graduate leadership/management qualification desirable.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy and NHS priorities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ED patients receive critical medicines within required timeframes.
• Medicines management processes monitored and updated to standards.
• Support Emergency medicine MDT to optimise workflows and skill sets.
• Identify cost-effective medicine initiatives in the ED.
• Support the clinical pharmacy service to meet locally agreed KPIs.
