The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for an experienced senior nurse to support the Emergency Department leadership team. The post holder will supervise care delivery, teach and supervise staff, oversee shift operations, and ensure patients are assessed, treated, discharged or transferred within the four-hour standard.

They will deputise for the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse when required and promote high-quality patient care.

Aufgaben

• Lead the Emergency Department shift, ensuring safe patient flow and timely care.
• Supervise and train nursing and support staff, role modelling best practice.
• Assist with clinical duties across Trust services as needed.
• Monitor standards of care and maintain accurate, legible records (NMC guidelines).
• Plan staffing according to competency and workload, deputising for Senior Sister/Charge Nurse when required.
