Qualifications

Current knowledge of emergency nursing practice.
3 years Emergency Department experience.
Awareness of national and local targets relating to Emergency Department performance.
Previous ward/department management experience, including staff supervision, performance management and service delivery.

Responsibilities

Accountable 24 hours a day/7 days a week for the quality of care delivered within the ward/unit environment.
Lead, supervise and support the nursing workforce to deliver high standards of emergency care.
Provide professional clinical nursing leadership for the ward/unit.
Oversee workforce planning, recruitment and retention to meet service demands.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive quality improvement initiatives and governance.
