Job summary

West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department to support a wide range of shifts. The expanded ED includes Majors Assessment and Rapid Assessment Areas with a dedicated ED team delivering high-quality care.

You will deliver care, assess and develop care plans, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy emergency setting, ensuring patient dignity, confidentiality and timely discharge where appropriate.

Qualifications

• NMC Registration or newly qualified to practise as a nurse.
• Engagement in ongoing professional development activities.
• Recent acute care experience within the NHS is required or desirable.
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) degree or diploma.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and assess, develop, implement and evaluate individual care plans.
• Take delegated responsibility for a group of patients on a shift.
• Support the department and contribute to meeting government targets.
