Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' post-registration experience in an acute or emergency setting.
• Confident and competent in assessing, planning and delivering care for acutely unwell adults and children, and minor injuries.
• Ability to prioritise care based on the critical nature of the condition.
• Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking and attention to detail for comprehensive patient assessments and escalation when necessary.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure clinical environment and using initiative to respond to changing situations.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning and delivering care to acutely unwell adults and children, including minor injuries.
• Prioritising care based on the severity of each patient’s condition.
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, gathering medical history and information, and escalating to medical staff when life-threatening concerns arise.
• Maintain accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced ED environment.
• Adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations and communicate effectively with the team.
