Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust
The closing date is 29 June 2025
We are looking for someone to join our Emergency Department (ED) at Sheffield Children's. You will help support the smooth running of our busy 24/7 reception, Acute Assessment Unit (AAU), and GP in ED service. This is a dynamic and busy role requiring flexibility and leadership.
Our team comprises around 19 staff, working across a full 24/7 shift pattern. Together, they provide essential support to one of the most high-pressure areas in the hospital. You will work with another Team Leader and the Operational Support Manager, ensuring service delivery across all administrative functions.
About You:
Substantial administrative experience, including staff supervision and training
Excellent IT skills with experience using databases and administration systems
If you're ready to lead from the front, bring clarity in busy moments, and help maintain a high standard of patient-facing admin services in a rewarding environment -- we would love to hear from you.
Reporting into the ED Service Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
Work as Senior Admin and Clerical Receptionist, while overseeing the wider admin and clerical team
Manage rotas, annual leave, and ensure correct staffing levels across Reception, AAU, and GP in ED
Provide guidance on daily operational issues, ensuring resolution of problems as they arise
Support recruitment, performance management, and training for all admin staff
Ensure all admin responsibilities are delivered and to a high standard of care
