Responsibilities

• To be a highly visible, accessible, and approachable leader to staff, patients, families, and the public, ensuring open channels of communication and high standards of care.
• To be responsible for ensuring clinical initiatives and service developments are embedded in practice and that staff contribute to the change process.
• To maintain an overview of the standards of care in the Emergency Department and instigate remedial action to improve practice as necessary.
