Job summary

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) for a 12-month, part-time secondment in the Emergency Department. Suitable candidates may come from paramedic, nursing, pharmacy or physiotherapy backgrounds and will progress toward RCEM credentialing.

Applicants should have an MSc in Advanced Practice and be close to completing RCEM credentialing within six months, with a view to credentialing.

Qualifications

• NMC/HCPC registration required.
• MSc in Advanced Practice is mandatory.
• Independent non-medical prescriber status required or to be achieved.
• RCEM credentialed ACP or within 6 months of application.
• Experience in a secondary care ED/urgent treatment centre or acute care area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert autonomous assessment, examination, treatment and diagnosis.
• Lead a departmental non-clinical project with protected time for development.
• Work 22.5 hours per week with an 80% clinical / 20% non-clinical split.
• Support RCEM credentialing and ACP team development.
