Job summary

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager for the Emergency Centre to drive improvements in patient flow, operational performance and quality of care aligned with the Trust’s Operational Delivery Plan.

The post involves supporting the day-to-day management of services across Acute Medicine and the Emergency Department, building strong relationships with MDTs and senior clinical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Manager and Operational Managers in delivering the service area's strategic and operational objectives.
• Assist in driving improvements in operational performance, patient flow and quality of care.
• Maintain effective relationships with MDTs, Matrons, Clinical Directors and other teams to support delivery.
• Contribute to efficient use of resources and continuous service improvement across the Emergency Centre.
