Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Emergency Healthcare Assistant to join the Medical SDEC team and support acute medical patients referred from GP practices or the Emergency Department.

You will work with Consultants, Clinicians, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Nursing staff to deliver high-quality, front-facing care while adhering to safety and communication standards within a busy ED environment.

Qualifications

• Evidence of general education, e.g. GCSEs or equivalent.
• Care Certificate (or equivalent).
• Level 2/3 NVQ in a relevant healthcare area.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing triage, vital signs, history taking and documentation.
• Venepuncture and cannulation.
• Basic wound care, hygiene, nutrition and mobility support.
• Support documentation and escalation of changes in patient condition.
