Health Transportation Group UK Ltd in Norwich is seeking an Emergency Care Assistant (FREC4) to join our team. You will care for and transport non-emergency patients, applying your FREC4 training to monitor patients and respond to urgent situations with professionalism.
The role offers 40 hours per week on a shift rota, with mornings, evenings, lates, and night shifts across the 7-day week. Training and uniform are fully funded as part of our supportive environment.
At Health Transportation Group UK (HTG-UK), we are one of the UK’s leading providers of Non-Emergency Patient Transport, supporting thousands of vulnerable patients across the UK. We proudly serve the NHS, completing over 800,000 essential journeys every year.
We deliver services across a growing number of NHS contracts, including North East Lincolnshire, Mid and South Essex, Dorset, Cornwall & Isles of Scilly, Norfolk & Waveney, and Suffolk and North East Essex. With 22 operational bases and a dedicated team of over 1,200 passionate professionals, we provide safe, caring, and high-quality transport services nationwide.
Step into a rewarding role as an Emergency Care Assistant, where every shift makes a real difference. You’ll be responsible for safely caring for and transporting non-emergency patients, along with their relatives and healthcare staff, using your training, expertise and the resources available to you. This role requires candidates to operate at First Responder Emergency Care Level 4 (FREC4) standard, so applicants must be able to demonstrate qualifications at FREC4 level or above. Beyond this, you'll draw on your FREC4 training to deliver high-quality non-emergency high dependency patient transport services, confidently monitoring patients conditions through clinical observation and responding to both life-threatening and non-life‑treating situations with professionalism and compassion.
It’s a role that requires patience, empathy and resilience as, whilst the role is incredibly rewarding, it can be physically and emotionally demanding. If you’re someone who thrives on connection, takes pride in doing things properly, and wants to be part of a team that lives our values, particularly Care, Respect and Social Value, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a shift-based role, working 40 hours per week and you’ll work as part of a rota covering early mornings, evenings, lates and night shifts, which can fall on any day across the 7-day week, including weekends and public holidays. Shifts will vary, so flexibility is essential. We also welcome interest from candidates who may be looking for part-time hours.
