Job summary

Liberty Specialty Markets in London is seeking an EMEA Transfer Pricing Specialist to join the Tax team. You will coordinate transfer pricing documentation across the EMEA region, contribute to benchmarking studies and be the point of contact for internal teams and external advisers.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or tax adviser (e.g. ACA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent), or a relevant Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law or Business.
• Experience of, or exposure to, transfer pricing, gained in industry, a professional services firm, or through a relevant academic or analytical background.
• Good working knowledge of OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and BEPS requirements; exposure to EU transfer pricing regimes is desirable.
• Strong financial and economic analysis skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and support benchmarking analyses.
• An understanding of, or willingness to learn, international accounting standards (US GAAP and Lux GAAP/UK GAAP).

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and coordination of EMEA transfer pricing documentation, including coordination with and supporting the review of work produced by external advisers.
• Support the overall comparability analysis through delivery of benchmarking studies and functional analyses.
• Support the review and monitoring of intra-group transactions and intercompany agreements.
• Support BEAT assessments and cross-border cost impact modelling, working with US and EMEA finance colleagues.
• Support the provision of technical transfer pricing input into EMEA tax authority queries and audits, working alongside the colleagues and external advisers.
• Assist in monitoring and mitigating Permanent Establishment (PE) risk, providing transfer pricing input as required.
• Support the maintenance and update of transfer pricing policies, Standard Operating Procedures and process documentation for specific countries and entities.
• Support the identification of risks arising from business change, including restructuring or entering new territories, leading to new or existing controlled transactions, escalating as appropriate.
• Support the continuous improvement of transfer pricing processes and controls (for example, cost allocation models), actively engaging with the evaluation and adoption of new technology, automation and AI-enabled tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.
