Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking a seasoned Stress Testing Technology Engineering & Delivery Lead to drive enterprise stress testing platforms across all material risk types in EMEA. You will provide hands-on leadership, architecture oversight, and delivery leadership to build scalable, auditable solutions for risk management, regulatory reporting and capital adequacy assessment.

The role spans across Credit, Market, Liquidity, Model and operational risks, requiring deep engineering excellence, data

Qualifications

• Extensive experience (15+ years) delivering complex technology programmes in banking/financial services.
• Proven ability to build, hire and grow high-performing software, data or platform engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on solution architecture and system-design across distributed apps, APIs, event-driven integration, data platforms & orchestration.
• Experience leading stress testing, risk, capital, liquidity or regulatory reporting technology capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology strategy and delivery for enterprise stress testing across risk types.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery from requirements through architecture to production and regulatory submission.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams across onshore, nearshore, offshore and vendors.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and auditable outputs for regulatory reporting.
• Drive platform modernisation, CI/CD, observability and operational resilience.
