Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a skilled analyst to join its GFCC Sanctions Investigations team within EMEA. You will conduct multi-level sanctions analysis, document reasoning, and support reporting to authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree (or equivalent) is required.
• Strong analytical capability and professional curiosity.
• Excellent written communication; ability to convey complex matters clearly.
• Experience in sanctions and/or AML compliance is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Investigate potential breaches of sanctions across the EMEA region, conducting thorough, multi-level analysis and documenting reasoning and findings precisely and clearly.
• Support the reporting of potential sanctions breaches to competent sanctions authorities in EMEA where required, preparing high-quality written submissions that convey complex matters concisely and clearly.
• Maintain all investigation records accurately, produce regular and ad hoc investigation metrics reports for senior management.
• Support Trade and Working Capital business as a point of contact for sanctions-related escalations and queries, including review of escalated trade finance transactions, assessing sanctions risk and making well-reasoned decisions.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of UK, EU, US and other sanctions programs to investigate, advise and answer ad hoc queries.
• Provide training and guidance, respond to sanctions escalations, and update sanctions guidance as necessary.
• Demonstrate a quality-focused work ethic and strong controls mindset, understanding regulatory requirements and adhering to controls.
• Utilize strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple asks and escalate key risks to management.
