Job summary

Major, Lindsey & Africa, LLC is partnering with a global market leader in the industrial manufacturing sector to hire a Regional Compliance Counsel. This highly visible role will support the ethics and compliance programme across the EMEA region, reporting to the international legal and compliance team and providing strategic advice to senior leadership.

The interim position is 9-12 months with potential to convert to a permanent opportunity as the company strengthens its governance framework.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with ethics, compliance and investigations experience in a multinational
• Strong understanding of corporate compliance frameworks and international regulations
• Experience leading internal investigations and handling sensitive conduct matters
• Experience advising on anti-bribery & corruption programmes

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to business leaders across EMEA on ethics, compliance and regulatory matters.
• Lead and manage internal investigations relating to misconduct, policy breaches, fraud and other compliance concerns.
• Support development and enhancement of the company’s global compliance programme.
• Provide practical advice on anti-bribery, third-party risk, gifts & hospitality, conflicts of interest and business conduct.
• Partner with Legal, HR, Finance, Procurement, Internal Audit, ESG and Risk teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Support monitoring, risk assessments, audits and remediation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Deliver engaging compliance training and communications to employees and management across the region.
• Advise on regulatory developments and implement new compliance requirements.
• Assist with governance initiatives and continuous improvement projects to strengthen the control environment.
• Prepare reporting updates for senior leadership and compliance committees.
