Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Director, Public Policy in the EMEA region. Based in Amsterdam or London, the role focuses on strengthening public policy presence, engaging with political leaders, and promoting digital infrastructure growth.

The position entails external engagement, internal strategy leadership, and collaboration with regional teams to align policy messaging and regulatory activities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Qualifications

• Proven years of experience in government relations or public policy positions; prior service in government legislative/regulatory bodies a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree; law or master’s degree a plus.
• Exposure to policy issues in Data Centres, Technology, Cybersecurity and resilience, Sovereignty and data privacy, Energy, environment, sustainability policies, and corporate frameworks.
• Government procurement policy; and National and local Tax policy.
• Demonstrated integrity, thoroughness, flexibility, initiative and teamwork.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal communication.
• Travel expectations Brussels and within the region; position based in Amsterdam or London.

Responsibilities

• Lead External Engagement across government levels and EU member states to advocate the company’s public policy agenda.
• Develop relationships with policy makers and regulators; support executives in policy coalitions and associations.
• Coordinate internal cross-functional teams in EMEA to address policy challenges and opportunities.
• Align messaging with country MDs and ensure consistent policy positioning across the region.
• Collaborate with Sustainability, Legal Regulatory, and Communications for cross-functional alignment.
