Job Description:

Exceptional opportunity for a keen Pensions professional with experience working with either Benefits or DB/DC pension scheme arrangements, to work as a Pensions and Benefits Analyst who will be seconded to a leading financial institution. This position supports the administrative and operational aspects of UK pensions as well as some exposure across benefits provision within EMEA.

Due to the nature of this role, this will be office-based in Birmingham, with some scope for flexibility once training is completed.

About the role

  • Support the UK Pensions and Benefits team to deliver operational aspects of strategy, governance, technology, and day-to-day processing of UK pensions.
  • Manage logistics to organize Trustee board meetings and committee meetings, attend the meetings, distribute minutes, and follow up on actions in a timely manner.
  • Support day-to-day administration of UK pension and benefits programs.
  • Assist with benefits-related projects (annual renewals, taxation reporting).
  • Support administrative aspects of EMEA benefits, working with MI and the broader benefits team as necessary.
  • Assist with operational matters to the business, including updating stakeholders (postings), preparing presentations, and other stakeholder management documentation.
  • Support operational aspects of EMEA pensions projects as required.

About you

  • 1-2 years of UK pensions experience and working knowledge of administration support preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension arrangements.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
  • Results-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks, take initiative, and work towards challenging goals despite obstacles or setbacks.
  • Self-starting and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Advanced computer literacy: proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
