RGA is a Fortune 200 reinsurance leader focused on life and health solutions. The Regional Head of Underwriting, Claims & Biometric Risk will shape the EMEA strategy, leading underwriting, claims, biometric risk and medical functions across the region.

You will drive innovation, leverage data and analytics, and build a high-performance regional operating model with senior leaders and partners. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration and delivering client value

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Actuarial Science, Medicine, Data Science, Statistics, Business, Finance, Risk Management or a related field required
Postgraduate qualification, MBA, actuarial fellowship, medical qualification or equivalent professional qualification relevant to life and health insurance, reinsurance, biometric risk, underwriting, claims, analytics or risk management preferred

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a unified EMEA underwriting, claims, medical and biometric risk strategy aligned with regional, enterprise and commercial objectives.
Drive transformation and continuous improvement across people, processes and systems, in alignment with global and regional stakeholders.
Establish ownership, governance, decision-making frameworks and operating model principles across the region.
Identify, appoint and mobilise the key leaders and experts required to deliver the regional operating model.
Act as the senior functional leader for underwriting, claims, medical and biometric risk activities across EMEA.
Extend biometric expertise into pricing, selection and management of risk to support growth.
Leverage analytics, data sources, predictive modelling and partnerships to identify opportunities and innovate.
Influence and support a research and innovation agenda addressing biometric trends and regulatory changes.
Strengthen market position through thought leadership and client engagement.
Forge strategic partnerships to strengthen biometric capabilities and drive innovation.
