Job summary

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan seeks an Investment Associate for the EMEA Infrastructure & Natural Resources team, based in the London office. You will analyze opportunities, build financial models, and support senior staff across transactions in infrastructure sectors.

You will work with portfolio companies, assist in due diligence, debt financing, budgeting, and value-adding initiatives, collaborating with management and external advisors to identify opportunities and risks.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, or mathematics with a strong academic record; engineering also considered.
• Experience in investment process including due diligence, debt financing, and documentation.
• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities; excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Use financial models to analyze investment opportunities and assess risks.
• Identify value drivers and perform sensitivity and scenario analyses.
• Assist due diligence and incorporate findings into models.
• Support debt financing analysis for acquisitions and external financing.
• Collaborate with external advisors and prepare investment materials for senior management and the Board.
• Review financial reports, budgets, and portfolio company performance.
• Maintain financial models with management to monitor value and strategic issues.
• Develop action plans on investments, including tax, regulation, and competitive position.
• Contribute to internal valuations and value creation initiatives.
• Support cross-border deals and relationship building across markets.
