Job summary

Chubb in Glasgow is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to provide high-quality indirect tax advice across the business in EMEA. You will partner with senior stakeholders, finance teams and business leaders, shaping commercial decisions with practical tax insight.

The role involves reviewing transactions, identifying indirect tax issues early, ensuring IPT and parafiscal compliance, and supporting system changes.

Qualifications

• Strong VAT expertise with the ambition to broaden experience in an international environment.
• Experience providing indirect tax advisory services to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day indirect tax advice to business lines and finance colleagues.
• Review existing and planned transactions to identify indirect tax issues and provide commercially oriented guidance.
• Build strong internal and external relationships to support proactive tax guidance.
• Instruct and oversee external advisers where required.
• Support indirect tax compliance and return reviews.
• Contribute to indirect tax input on new systems and business change initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of VAT, IPT and parafiscal taxes within the insurance sector.
