Job summary

Farnell, an Avnet company, is a global high-service distributor of technology products and solutions. We are seeking a Finance Manager for the EMEA region in Leeds, a hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days at home).

You will lead financial accounting, controls and margin analysis across multiple entities and report to the Senior Finance Manager - EMEA. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with IFRS knowledge, balance sheet expertise and multi-entity experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Significant experience in financial accounting, controllership or accounting management.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP reporting for group consolidation.
• Experience managing multiple legal entities.
• Experience improving accounting processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close across entities.
• Ensure IFRS reporting and US GAAP compliance for group consolidation.
• Review journals, accruals, provisions and adjustments.
• Review monthly results and investigate material variances.
• Prepare external audit deliverables and maintain controls.
• Drive balance sheet health and intercompany reconciliation.
• Support margin and inventory accounting improvements.
• Lead SOX controls and documentation; partner with auditors.
• Identify process improvements and KPIs; drive automation.
