Job summary

J.P. Morgan is recruiting an Associate for the EMEA FIG team in London to lead origination and execution of investment banking mandates with a focus on financial institutions.

You will build detailed financial models, prepare client presentations, and manage transactions from pitch to close under senior guidance. You will collaborate across teams to develop strategies, analyse market data, and deliver innovative solutions while mentoring junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• More than 3 years of investment banking experience with a focus on financial institutions.
• Proficient financial analysis and modelling skills.
• Strong communication and project-management abilities.
• Experience dealing with clients and transactional advisers.
• Willingness to develop and ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Coverage of the EMEA FIG market across banks, asset management, insurance, FinTech, etc.
• Complete large and complex valuation and analytical exercises.
• Prepare presentation books, management presentations and board materials for M&A and capital markets transactions.
• Support transaction execution: due diligence, document preparation, negotiation and liaison with clients and advisers.
• Stay abreast of market and regulatory developments and mentor junior colleagues.
