Job summary

SkillNet Solutions is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead a portfolio of retail technology engagements across the UK/EMEA, owning client relationships and delivery oversight.

You'll chair steering committees, manage scope and financials, coordinate cross-functional teams (PMs, BAs, architects, developers) and ensure programs meet milestones, budgets, and quality standards while navigating a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in IT consulting, professional services, or systems integration.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle RetailXstore or a comparable retail POS platform.
• Experience owning client relationships and running steering committees or equivalent executive governance forums.
• Experience managing engagement financials — budget, margin, and utilization — and reporting on program KPIs.
• Track record developing SOWs, CRs, and project plans, and negotiating scope, deliverables, and terms with clients.
• Experience coordinating onshore-offshore, multi-vendor delivery teams across time zones.
• Comfortable operating across waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders.
• Based in the UK and able to travel to client sites across the UK/EMEA as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client-facing owner for assigned EMEA retail accounts.
• Lead client steering committees and executive status reviews, preparing pre-reads and tracking actions.
• Manage the full engagement lifecycle for Oracle RetailXstore programs including upgrades and cutover planning.
• Own engagement financials: track budget, margin, and consultant utilization against targets.
• Develop and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs) and Change Requests (CRs).
• Coordinate resourcing across onshore and offshore, multi-vendor teams.
• Manage risks, issues, and escalations with project leadership.
• Identify opportunities to expand SkillNet's footprint within existing accounts.
• Provide regular reporting to leadership on account health and delivery status.
