Job summary

QAD Inc. is seeking a Corporate Counsel (EMEA) to lead and execute complex SaaS and cloud contracts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will collaborate with Sales, Finance, Privacy, and Security teams to drive deal velocity while ensuring regulatory compliance and scalable AI-enabled workflows.

You will guide AI and data privacy initiatives, build global legal templates, and support high-volume contracting across EMEA and U.S. matters, in a fast-paced PE-backed software environment.

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized jurisdiction and admitted to practice in at least one relevant EMEA jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 7 years supporting sales in-house at a high-growth US multinational software/SaaS company.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS master agreements, professional services terms, DPAs, and customer-facing commercial documents.
• Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, InfoSec, Privacy, and Professional Services to align on legal risk and commercial objectives.
• Help build and modernize QAD’s global Legal Operations Center with templates, playbooks, workflows, and AI-enabled processes.
• Monitor AI and data privacy regulations (EU AI Act, GDPR) and adapt terms and positions accordingly.
• Provide coverage for EMEA matters and time-sensitive US matters during EMEA business hours.
